UK Arrest Anjem Choudhary: Britain’s radical preacher Anjem Chowdhary was arrested from his house on July 17 (Sunday), after which he was presented in the court seven days later i.e. on Monday (July 24). Anjem was accused of leading a terrorist organization. Chaudhary, 56, was charged in three cases under the Terrorist Act. The three charges include giving instructions to a terrorist organisation, second taking membership in a banned organization and third addressing meetings to garner support for the organization between June 2022 and this month.
Anjem Chowdhary is alleged to have links with the Muslim group Al-Muhajiroon, which was outlawed by the British government in 2010. Anjem Chowdhary wants to implement Khalifa rule in Britain. Apart from this, he keeps spewing venom against the Hindus living in Britain.
Apart from Anjem Chaudhary, Canadian citizens arrested
According to the BBC report, Anjem Chowdhary stresses on the establishment of an Islamic state in Britain for the Islamic Thinkers Society and how to be radicalised. Anjem Chowdhary was arrested from home on 17th July.
After this, on the same day, another 28-year-old Canadian citizen, Khalid Hussain, was also arrested from Heathrow Airport on charges of being a member of a banned Islamic organization. Police allege that Khalid Hussain has worked online with Anjem Chaudhary.
Said to be a student of Bakri Mohammad
According to The Guardian’s report, Anjum Chowdhary Hali Bar came to the fore as a spokesperson for Al-Muhajiroon. It was founded by Tottenham Ayatollah Umar Bakri Muhammad. Anjum Chowdhary proudly called himself a student of Bakri Mohammad. In 1996, Bakri Muhammad was sacked as the leader of the UK branch of Hizb ut-Tahrir (Liberation Party).
After this, Bakri Muhammad founded Al-Muhajiroun, which he succeeded in increasing the Muslim population in Britain because of his anti-Israel, anti-gay, anti-liberal rhetoric.
