Tomato Price Hike: For a long time, the rising price of tomatoes (Tomato Price Hike) has spoiled the budget of the kitchen. The government is taking various steps to control its prices, but still its price is skyrocketing in the retail market. In such a situation, the biggest question is that when will the tomato price come down. Giving information about this, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has said that a decline in the price of tomatoes can be registered in the coming days. In the next few days, arrival of new crops will start from states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. After this, a fall in the price of tomato can be recorded.

When will the prices come down?

Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Kumar Choubey, while answering a question asked in the Rajya Sabha on the rising price of tomatoes, said in a written reply that in the next few days, new tomato crops will start coming in the market. In this, a large number of Tama will come from Narayangaon, Aurangabad and Nashik in Maharashtra. Along with this, a new tomato crop will also come from Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, there is a possibility of reduction in the price of tomato due to the arrival of new crops in the market.

Tomatoes being sold in many cities

Apart from this, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Choubey informed the Parliament that cheap tomatoes are being sold by agricultural marketing agencies like NAFED and NCCF in many states like Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. Tomato was being sold at Rs 90 per kg in the initial phase, which had come down to Rs 80 per kg by 16 July. At the same time, tomatoes are now available at Rs 70 per kg at the centers of NAFED and NCCF. The government has also said that due to the rising price of tomato, many farmers are cultivating it. In such a situation, a large quantity of tomatoes will arrive in the market in the coming days. This is likely to reduce the rate.
