iPhone vs Foldable Smartphone: iPhone always remains on top in the list of best selling smartphones in the world. However, what came as a surprise was a foldable phone that almost matched the iPhone 14 Pro in terms of popularity.

According to a CNBC report, the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone was the second most popular phone according to JD.com’s “Hot Sales” phone rankings this week. Honor’s foldable phone is about 2,000 yuan (Rs 22,800) more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro and was the second most popular phone. The third place was taken by the iPhone 13.

Honor has now become an independent brand and has launched many phones. The Magic V2 sports a foldable book-style design and gives tough competition to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The Honor V2 is currently only available in China but is expected to launch in the European market later this year.

Growing demand for foldable phones
According to a report by Counterpoint Research, the market for foldables in China has more than doubled in the last 12 months. According to the report, China’s foldable market stood at 1.08 million units in the first quarter. The global smartphone market has seen a decline in the first few months of 2023. China’s smartphone market has seen a decline of about 8%.
