Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said it has bagged orders worth Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore in power transmission and distribution in the country and abroad. The infrastructure major informed the stock market that it has bagged these contracts in India and abroad.

The company said its arm L&T Construction has bagged significant contracts for its power transmission and distribution business. On the domestic front, these contracts have been bagged in Gujarat and Jharkhand. The contracts abroad pertain to Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. The company did not disclose the value of these contracts, but according to its project classification, their amount is between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

The company’s shares had touched a high of Rs 2,586.80 on the BSE in intraday trade today. The stock has gained 4.27% in the last five days. It has given 23.84% return in YTD this year and 45.17% in last one year. Its maximum return is 6,522.63%. During this, the share has increased from Rs 39 to Rs 2,586.80. Means those who invest one lakh would have got a profit of 66 lakh rupees in the long term.
