Indonesia Ferry Sank: A ferry boat sank on Sulawesi Island in Indonesia. At least 15 people died in the accident, while 19 people are missing. According to local media MetroTV news channel and Detik.com, the incident involving the sinking of the boat happened at midnight on Sunday (July 23). There were about 40 passengers in the ferry boat.

There are more than 17,000 islands in Indonesia. Incidents like boat sinking are common here. Weak system of safety rules is often responsible for such accidents. According to a report, in the year 2018, a boat filled with about 200 people drowned in a deep volcanic crater lake in North Sumatra province. About 167 people had died in that accident.
