South Korea Floods: Heavy rains have caused havoc in South Korea for the past several days. The rains have so far claimed 47 lives here. Fire officials were quoted by Yonhap news agency as saying that on Saturday, rescue workers found the body of another person who was washed away in recent torrential rains.

According to reports, the body of a 60-year-old man was found on Saturday in Yecheon, 161 km southeast of Seoul. At the same time, three people have not been traced so far due to landslides and floods due to heavy rains. Significantly, since the beginning of last week, rains have been wreaking havoc in South Korea, due to which the life of the common people is busy.

According to reports, thousands of people are still living in shelters. Meanwhile, while issuing a warning, the State Meteorological Agency has expressed the possibility of heavy rains. In such a situation, people do not see any possibility of getting quick relief from floods and landslides.

According to the information given by the officials, 10,570 people have had to leave their homes across the country due to the rains. Along with this, 628 public buildings and 317 other private buildings have been damaged by the heavy rains.

Due to heavy rains, 28,607 houses across the country had to remain in darkness as electricity was disrupted here. According to government figures, 7,540 people have been rescued so far.

President has given this order

Only last week, the country’s President Yoon Suk Yeol had directed to speed up the relief and rescue work. In order to reduce the number of casualties, he had also ordered to mobilize all available resources.
