Delhi Excise Policy Case: Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia was produced in the case related to the alleged scam in Delhi Excise Policy. On Friday (June 2), Sisodia was presented before the judge through video conferencing from the lockup of Rouse Avenue Court. The court directed the CBI to give a copy of the charge sheet and a copy of the related documents to the accused. The next hearing of the case will be on June 6.

At the same time, Arjun Pandey, the other accused in the case, sought exemption from appearance in the court today. Pandey said, he will not be able to appear in the court because he is out of Delhi. The CBI has named former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia, Buchi Babu Gorantla, Arjun Pandey and Amandeep Dhall as accused in the supplementary charge sheet.

Court strict on Sisodia’s meeting

Earlier on Thursday (June 1) too, Manish Sisodia was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court, where the ED’s charge sheet was heard. Let me tell you, ED has registered a case against Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case. The ED told the court that a copy of the charge sheet has been given to all the accused.

On Thursday, taking a strict stand, the court had said that Manish Sisodia would be allowed to meet only family members and his lawyer in jail. Apart from these, he will not meet outsiders. During this, the court had expressed displeasure over the gathering of crowd during Sisodia’s previous appearance.

ED investigation completed

The ED has told that it has completed the investigation regarding the alleged involvement of the former Deputy CM of Delhi in the money laundering case. The ED has claimed that it has enough evidence to prove that Sisodia was involved in money laundering. He had allegedly earned an income of Rs 622 crore through various means.
