(Reuters) – US oil major purlin Corp (NYSE:) said on Sunday that the company’s chief financial officer Pierre Breber will retire next year, and has named longtime company veteran Chevron Technical Center chief technology officer Aimer Bonner as his successor.

Separately, the company also said it has waived the mandatory retirement age requirement for its chief executive officer, Mike Wirth.

Bonner, 49, has been with Chevron for more than 24 years. In his new role, Bonner will report to Chevron’s Chief Executive Officer.

The incoming chief executive will assume office from March 1, 2024, the company said in a statement.

Chevron also released a preview of its quarterly results. Chevron reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of $5.8 billion, or $3.08 per share. Results came in above $2.97 per share, according to REFINITIV data.
