Indian student died in America: Body camera footage of an Indian girl student who died after being hit by a police vehicle in the US has surfaced. It can be seen in the footage that an Indian girl student tragically died after colliding with a Seattle police car while crossing the road.

Please tell that Jhanvi Kandula, a student of Northeastern University in South Lake Union, was murdered on January 23. Jahnavi reached Seattle from Bengaluru (India) in 2021 to obtain a master’s degree, and was pursuing a Master of Science at the College of Engineering.

Kevin Dave was sitting in the accident car
Seattle officer Kevin Dave was sitting behind the vehicle that caused the accident. A loud rumble from the engine can be heard in the body camera video as Kevin’s speedometer clocked up to 74 mph.

According to Fox13 Seattle, 23-year-old Jhanvi was walking near Dexter Avenue North and Thomas Street when she was hit by a Seattle police vehicle, after which she was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries. Investigation continues into the accident
In another bodycam footage, Kevin said that the boy was on the crosswalk when I was blowing the siren and as soon as he saw me, he started running from the crosswalk, causing the accident. Kevin was answering the phone call at the time of the incident. After the incident, Kevin was also heard saying, “I got upset.” However, the Police Accountability Office is continuing to investigate whether Kevin complied with department policy.

In January, Jhanvi’s family had said that they were heartbroken after the accident. In a statement to KJR-FM radio, the family said, “Jhanvi’s tragic death has left a huge hole in the hearts of her family and community that will never be filled.”

The family further said that, “Jhanvi was the daughter of a single mother who teaches in a school in India. They further said that Jhanvi’s mother earns less than $200 per month. Despite this, Jhanvi’s mother taught her and sent her to America with the hope that Jhanvi’s future would be better by going abroad”.
