Meanwhile, a report has come out which gives information about active people on social media around the world. According to an AFP report, out of the total population of the world, 5.19 billion people are using social media today. That is, about 65% of the world’s population is active on social media. Compared to last year, this year has seen an increase of 3.7%.

Daily now people spend so much time on social media

It has been told in the report of AFP that daily people now spend 2 hours 26 minutes on social media, which is much more than before. According to the report, Brazilians spend the most time on social media. Their daily usage time is about 3 hours 49 minutes whereas Japanese people use social media in less than 1 hour a day.

These 7 social media apps are popular all over the world

People from all over the world are most active on Meta’s apps. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are widely used all over the world. After this WeChat, TikTok and Douyin of China are famous. Then Twitter, Messenger and Telegram are famous all over the world. Most people are active on all three apps of Meta in India. Recently the company has also launched Threads app which has crossed the userbase of 150 million.

Earlier in April, a report by Statista came out in which it was told that there are 5.18 billion internet users worldwide while 60% of the world’s population is active on social media. For those who do not know what is the total population of the world, then according to 2021, it is 788.84 crores. At present the population has crossed 800 billion.
