Hearing on pending cases related to Gyanvapi was held in Allahabad High Court on Tuesday. The court heard the petitions challenging the validity of the SI Survey (Archaeological Survey of India) and civil suit. After the hearing, the High Court has reserved its decision on the legality/sustainability of the civil suit, the court will give its verdict on this issue on 28 August. On the other hand, there will be a hearing again on Wednesday regarding the ASI survey.

In this case, petitions have been filed by the Muslim side Masjid Intezamia Committee and the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board. Swayam Bhu Adi Visheshwar Nath Temple is a party from the side of Hindus. The matter was heard in the single bench of Justice Prakash Padia in the court. It may be known that the Varanasi court had ordered an ASI survey of the Gyanvapi campus. This decision was challenged.

The Chief Justice of the High Court himself heard
On Tuesday, the lawyers of both the parties were present in the Allahabad High Court. In the case of ASI survey, the Chief Justice of the High Court himself was conducting the hearing. During this, the Chief Justice asked whether such a survey had ever happened anywhere before? On this, advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain replied that such a survey was done in Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi case, in which there was no loss of any kind. On the other hand, the Muslim side says that the ASI was never a party in this case, yet the ASI was ordered to conduct the survey.

Asked questions regarding ASI survey
The Chief Justice said that did you submit the complete plan of the ASI survey to the court that how the survey would be done? The lawyer of the Muslim side said that it is clearly written in the order of the district court that ASI can do the excavation. Today, a petition has been filed on behalf of the Muslim side regarding the ban on the asi survey case of Varanasi till 5:00 pm on the orders of the Supreme Court. On which there will be a hearing tomorrow.

Decision on validity of civil suit on August 28
In this matter, Vishnu Shankar Jain said in a conversation with Aaj Tak that ‘the order of the ASI survey has been challenged by the arrangements committee. Caveat has been filed from our side. Now the matter will be decided after the hearing in the High Court bench. On the other hand, in the Adi Visheshwar case, Justice Prakash Padia’s bench has reserved the order for August 28. The workship act was challenged by the Muslim side, on which the court will give its verdict on August 28.
