An Afghan student studying in Lucknow in the capital of Uttar Pradesh has been suspended. The student is accused of sending obscene photos of another foreign student to her family members. In this case, the victim student had lodged a complaint with the cybercrime police, after which the name of the Afghan girl student came to the fore in the investigation.
According to the police, many foreign students also come from different countries to study in Lucknow University. Hostels are also allotted to these students. Similarly, in the Department of Public Administration, a student named Salma Faiz came from Kala-e-Bakhtiyar, Kabul, Afghanistan.
Salma is alleged to have bought the SIM a year ago on the ID of an Indian friend. She misused this SIM for a long time and sent her obscene and objectionable photos to the family of another foreign student through Instagram. After this incident, the victim student complained about the matter to the cybercrime police.
Salma Faiz’s name surfaced in the investigation. After this, the police handed over the complete investigation report to the college administration. After receiving the report, Chief Proctor of Lucknow University Professor Rakesh Trivedi has suspended Salma. His hostel allotment has also been canceled and he has been barred from entering the university campus. Answer has been sought from the accused student within 3 days. Information about this matter has also been given to the Indian Cultural Relations Council.
Let us tell you that two months ago, a PhD student of Aligarh Muslim University lodged an FIR against a professor making serious allegations. The student had alleged that the professor of the Department of Wildlife Science made obscene demands from her in the name of submitting a research paper. Hurt by this, the girl student sent an online complaint to the DGP-SSP, taking cognizance of which the district police called the girl student and registered a case in the women’s police station after taking Tahrir.
