Vedanta Result: Vedanta Limited, which is trying to get out of debt, has suffered a major setback. The net profit of this company decreased by 40.84 percent to Rs 3,308 crore in the April-June quarter. Vedanta Limited said that earlier in the same quarter of FY 2022-23, the company’s profit was Rs 5,592 crore. However, on a quarterly basis, the company’s profit was higher by 5.61 per cent at Rs 3,132 crore in the January-March quarter.
Some income also increased: The company’s total income also declined to Rs 34,279 crore from Rs 39,355 crore in the year-ago period. Its expenditure stood at Rs 31,973 crore as against Rs 32,095 crore a year ago. With this, Vedanta said that Sunil Duggal will complete his term as whole-time director and CEO of the company on July 31, 2023.
Declaration of Dividend: Vedanta has also declared an interim dividend of ₹18.5 per share. Meanwhile, Vedanta shares fell 1.4% to close at Rs 278.15 on the BSE index on Friday, the last trading day of the week.
