CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal: CRCS-Sahara refund portal launched for stranded money of Sahara investors is getting tremendous response. Within just a few days of the launch of this portal, 5 lakh depositors have registered on it and the process of refunding their funds has been started. Cooperative Minister Amit Shah has given this information.

Let us tell you that Amit Shah launched the CRCS-Sahara refund portal on 18 July. The purpose of this platform is to return the hard earned money of crores of people deposited in 4 cooperative societies of Sahara Group in about 45 days. The genuine depositors of cooperative societies can submit valid claims on it.

Amit Shah said this is a ‘great example’ that even the most complex problems can be solved if the government works proactively. The government had earlier said that the funds would be returned to the 100 million investors of the four cooperative societies of Sahara within nine months. The announcement followed the Supreme Court’s order directing it to transfer Rs 5,000 crore from the Sahara-Sebi refund account to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS).

The names of these four cooperative societies are Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.
